I want to teach Reformer Pilates but I do not have Level 3 Mat. What can I do?
Level 3 Mat is a mandatory prerequisite for Reformer training — but you can complete both together with our combo course.
To teach Reformer Pilates safely and professionally, you must first hold a Level 3 Mat Pilates qualification. This ensures you have the essential grounding in:
-
Core Pilates principles
-
Movement fundamentals
-
Anatomy and biomechanics
-
Teaching technique and cueing skills
-
Safe progression and regression of exercises
These foundations are crucial for Reformer work, where the equipment adds additional complexity, load, and safety considerations.
If you don’t have Level 3 Mat yet
You can join our Mat + Reformer Combo Course, which allows you to complete both qualifications together, in the correct order.
This option:
-
Gives you everything you need to become a fully qualified Reformer instructor
-
Builds strong foundational knowledge before moving onto the equipment
-
Saves you £500 compared to taking the courses separately
-
Ensures you feel confident, safe and well-prepared for Reformer teaching
The Mat course will significantly enhance your technique, understanding and coaching skills — making you a far stronger and more confident Reformer teacher.
