My video won’t upload to the platform. What should I do?

Try reducing your video file size and checking your connection — if it still won’t upload, our team can help.

Video uploads can sometimes fail due to large file sizes or unstable internet connections. Don’t worry — your work won’t be lost, and there are a few quick fixes you can try before reaching out for help.

Try these steps first:

  1. Check your file size: Videos under 2GB upload most reliably. If your video is larger, use a free compression tool (like HandBrake or Clideo) to reduce the size.

  2. Split the video: If compression isn’t enough, you can divide your video into smaller sections and upload them separately.

  3. Check your connection: Make sure you’re connected to a strong, stable internet connection — a wired connection often works best for large files.

  4. Retry the upload: Refresh the page and try again after a few minutes, ensuring the upload stays open until complete.

About the built-in uploader:

Our built-in video uploader uses resumable uploads that are processed in 20MB chunks. This means that if your upload is interrupted for any reason (for example, your internet drops or your browser closes), you can resume the upload from where it left off — there’s no need to start again from zero.

To resume your upload:

  1. Go back to the uploader in your course.

  2. Select the exact same video file you were uploading previously.

  3. Click Resume, and the system will automatically continue from the last 20MB chunk successfully uploaded.

This feature helps prevent data loss and saves you time when uploading large videos or working with less stable connections.

If your video still won’t upload:

  1. Click the chatbot in the bottom corner and type “Speak to a human.”

  2. Let our team know you’re having trouble uploading your video.

  3. They’ll guide you to send your video via WeTransfer or Google Drive, and we’ll upload it manually for you.

💡 Tip: Label your video files clearly (e.g., “JohnDoe_PTSession_Task3.mp4”) before sending — this helps our team match it quickly to your submission and speeds up marking.
