What happens if I cannot attend a Pilates workshop?

Contact your tutor or our team as soon as possible — we’ll review your situation and explore what support may be available.

Pilates practical workshops are a mandatory part of your qualification, as each one builds on the previous session to ensure you develop the correct movement skills, teaching technique, and safety knowledge. If you know you may be unable to attend, please let us know as early as possible so we can advise you on your options.

If you cannot attend the first workshop weekend

You will not be able to enrol onto the course.

The first weekend covers essential foundations, including:

  • Core Pilates principles

  • Safety, alignment and setup

  • Movement fundamentals

  • Teaching foundations

These cannot be replaced or learned effectively without attending in person.

If you miss part of the second weekend or one workshop day

In some cases, you may still be able to continue with the course — this depends on:

  • Tutor availability

  • Access to equipment in your area

  • How much content you have missed

To help you catch up, your tutor may offer options such as:

  • Shadowing classes

  • Observing and taking notes

  • Practising teaching exercises already covered

  • Attending a class as a client

  • Access to online content (where appropriate)

  • Completing extra self-practice or homework tasks

All catch-up arrangements must be approved by your tutor in advance to ensure you still meet all learning outcomes and remain on track for assessment.

💡 Tip: Pilates training is highly practical and progressive. Attending every workshop makes a huge difference to your confidence, technique, and overall success on the course. If anything might impact your attendance, please use the chatbot and type “Speak to a human” so we can support you early.
