What happens if my assessment is referred?
A referral isn’t a fail — it simply means you need to make a few improvements before your work meets the required standard.
All of our courses are marked on a pass or refer basis, which means you cannot fail an assessment. A referral just indicates that part of your submission needs to be adjusted, expanded, or reattempted to meet the qualification criteria.
When your assessment is referred, your tutor will provide detailed feedback explaining exactly what needs to be improved. This feedback is designed to help you understand where you fell short and how to correct it.
What to do next:
-
Read your tutor’s feedback carefully — it will highlight the specific areas that need work.
-
Make the necessary changes or re-record sections based on that feedback.
-
Resubmit your updated work through the same task area on the learning platform.
-
Your assessor will review it again and provide new feedback within three working days.
There are no limits or extra fees for resubmitting your work — you can keep refining it until you achieve a pass. Our goal is to help you meet the required standard and graduate as a confident, capable fitness professional.
💡 Tip: Don’t rush your resubmission — take time to review the criteria and double-check that every point in your feedback has been addressed before uploading again.
